No time.....

When you dream of being a published author, do you think of Barbara Cartland receiving guests and adoration, sipping tea with a little white dog  firmly in hand?
Or do you dream of sitting in a book shop with readers queued along the footpath waiting for your signature?

Two books released on one day two weeks go and the promotion trail has been hectic. In these days of on line interviews and blog posts, chat rooms on review sites, and reciprocal visits with author friends, the day quickly fills up.
In between that are the requisite tweets to be sent regularly, a little visit to Face book here and there as well as checking for reviews on Good reads... and Shelfari and Scribd  and the list goes on...

However no one told me that a mild mannered author would do a Jekyll and Hyde impersonation on publication. No one warns you of the obsessive checking of sales statistics on all of the sales rank sites at your fingertips!
Author friends have told me that they have even been known to get up in the middle of the night to check email and stats...
Phew... I feel better now!

It is a different life and I am LOVING every minute of it.
Thank you to all of my wonderful readers who have bought a copy of Holiday Affair and Winter of the Passion Flower.
Click on the titles for purchase links.
I have had many emails and phone calls. Thank you dear friends and readers.

  1. I'm glad you're enjoying it! I remember when Break Out was released, I had to ban myself from Amazon and Goodreads for two weeks because I got so obsessive. I'd like to say I've improved but...
